Meet Our Chaplains
Fellowship of Christian Cowboys
Buddy Strachan
President and Chaplain
Board Member, Chaplain
Buddy Strachan is originally from Elizabeth, Colorado and now lives in Elbert with his wife Kristi and their two daughters. He has been ranching and competing in rodeos since the age of nine. Originally a part of the HIS Outfit Chapter, he got heavily involved with the Fellowship of Christian Cowboys as a Chaplain and then later a board member. He is now the President of the Board of Directors.
He has been involved in the ministry for about 15+ years now and says, “FCC is important because of the outreach to the western world, through youth, rodeos and livestock shows. I remember carrying the FCC banner in high school rodeos when I competed, and hopefully we can help others to follow Christ and His ways instead of the world.
Robbie Sneed
Board Member, Chaplain
Board Member, Chaplain
A few folks local to Elbert County had been left without a church service at our county fair. FCC sent someone to conduct a service. We talked to a few folks about starting a local chapter. His Outfit was started and I served with others at the local level. My wife Helen and I started serving at some national events also.
In October of 2018 I was asked to consider being on the board of directors. After much prayer and thought I accepted in January of 2019. The board has a commitment of standing firm on the foundation of the truth of scripture. Our greatest need as humans is God’s forgiveness. That is God’s message, God’s gospel, “the good news.”
God Himself has provided all that we need in the person and work of Christ Jesus. God’s message has been softened or abandoned considerably in our day and time.
Ronnie Moyer
Advisory Board Member, FCC National Chaplain
Advisory Board Member, Chaplain
As National Chaplain for the Fellowship of Christian Cowboys, Ronnie Moyer represents the FCC at local churches as a guest speaker as well as musician. No church is too big or too small.
Along with his wife Becky, they have provided music and a message at many major western venues. To name a few, the National Western Stock Show and Rodeo in Denver, CO, Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo in Cheyenne, WY, as well as Las Vegas, NV, Houston, TX and other venues all across the United States. They have also recorded and released three albums in Nashville, Tennessee.
Ronnie is the author of the book “Touch of the Master’s Hand, a Biblical View Of Relationships, Through True Horsemanship” and is available in the FCC webstore. He holds clinics across the country from Texas to Montana and from California to Virginia.
Ronnie and Becky continue to provide music and sound Biblical teaching at Rodeo Bible Camps as well as Horsemanship Bible Camps for youth across the country.
Mike Sheilds

Chaplain
Mike Shields is from Westcliffe, Colorado and has served in the past as a Director for the Fellowship of Christian Cowboys. Mike believes the FCC is important because “We provide Chaplains, study tools for spiritual growth, and also provide youth ministry and discipleship.”
Mike and his wife Sara own and operate the San Isabel Ranch, a cow/calf, stocker cattle and hay operation. Mike is also the pastor of the Sangre de Cristo Cowboy Church in Westcliffe. He also enjoys team roping, basketball, good border collie dogs, good horses and fly fishing.
Danny Biddy

Danny provides planning and conducts the Cowboy Church services at Rodeo Houston and the Dallas World Trade Center Western and English Sales Association (WESA) trade show worship services.
Though never a rodeo contestant, Danny was raised on a small ranch in northeast Texas. He has owned and ridden horses since he was a boy. He pastored Old River Baptist Church in Mont Belvieu, Texas for 40 years with his wife Dana by his side. Danny has served as Chaplain for Chambers County Sheriff’s Office since 2012.
